Marc MacArthur

An Islander born and raised; Marc is a passionate entrepreneur who grew up in a successful three-generation Island small business. Years of training and perfecting customer relations in an ever-changing business environment have allowed Marc to be a critical thinker and problem solver. Formally trained as a professional photographer, he owns and operates Heckbert Studio Inc., an Island fixture that has continually served Islander’s photography needs since 1947. With expertise in the arts, graphic design, and social media and a passion for design, he has applied these skills to the construction industry. Inheriting his grandfather’s love for woodworking and building developed this passion into a construction and development company. Together with his business partner, Homeworld Ltd., he builds, develops, sells, and manages new home construction, duplexes, and vacation rentals in the Island market. From initial design to getting his hands dirty building, Marc has been involved with every aspect of a project from start to finish. He has built a large network of clients, business contacts, contractors, and resources through various ventures and volunteering throughout many years of business on PEI.

Marc’s zest for life derives from his amazing family; his wife Elizabeth (Liz), 3 adult children, (Liam, Megan, and John), granddaughter (Ellie), and large extended family, who all feed his strength, ambition, and heart. His true achievements are not that of business, but his relationships with his family and friends. When Marc is not working or building something, he could be found on the PEI waterways or beaches, sailing a catamaran, boating, paddleboarding, or traveling and exploring somewhere new.

Becoming a REALTOR® was a natural progression, given the projects and developments Marc has been bringing to the market. As well as serving his real estate needs, Marc brings a wealth of knowledge to offer any potential client looking to buy or sell a property in PEI. He knows the Island, the industry, and how to make your property stand out from the crowd with his photographic and digital marketing background.
